The Cincinnati Reds couldn't have ordered a better series to get things going in the Win Column as they sweep the North Siders in the three game set and take "Get Away" Day 5-0. Red Legs RHP Bronson Arroyo who is just a "Steady Eddie" #4 on a World Series-Like Rotation just takes the Stitched One every fourth or fourth day and goes to work. He had it going on Hump Day at the "Friendly Confines" as he goes seven innings allowing just two hits and striking out seven Cubbies. He moves top 11-9 in 2013.
The Red Legs Offense was jump started in the first by 2nd-year Reds Hot Corner Todd Frazier as he took Cubbies Starter Chris Rusin deep in the first for a Solo Job and the Reds never looked back. Frazier went 2 for 4 on the day with two runs scored and knocking in two. Cubs LHP Rusin went six allowing two runs on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts and the Solo Jack to Frazier.
The Cubs Offense could only monster two hits all day as the Red Legs Alfredo Simon and Jonathan Braxton finished off the Cubbies after Arroyo exited in the 7th. The Red Legs are putting pressure on both the NL Wild Card Leader Redbirds (a game back in Wild Card) and the NL East leading Buccos trailing them by just three games.
