Reed was dominant at the "U" for the 'Canes and still fell all the way to pick #24 overall in the 2002 NFL Draft in round #1. Some questioned his lack of speed but his instincts and ball-hawking ability was off the charts. I can honestly say the Ravens were built on three foundations in NFL HOF OT Jonathan Ogden, MLB Ray Lewis, and FS Ed Reed period. Those three when you mention Baltimore Ravens are etched in the NFL Memory talking Ravens Football...they have to be.
