If you would have told me that Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers would go seven not allowing a run and striking out eleven athletic Hitters. I would have told you it's 2-0 Tigers going back to the D. Well slow your roll as A's Rookie Sonny Gray matches Verlander going eight and not allowing a run and striking out nine.

The Oakland Athletics's then tie the best of five series with a walk-off single by Back Stop Stephen Vogt scoring A's OF Yoenis Cespedes and the A's get a 1-0 "W" and back to the "D" for games three and four.

Neither Team did anything in the game versus that excellent starting pitching as the Tigers managed to get four hits and the A's eight hits. The A's had more chances and left a staggering 16 Ducks on the pond compared to the Tigers leaving nine. Tigers Meat of the Order was a combined 1 for 12 w/ a Strike Out and that would be Miggy Cabrera, Prince Fielder, and Victor Martinez. Both A's Players Seth Smith (DH) and Cespedes both had multi-hit games and Cespedes ironically scored the game-winner.

I have a feeling this one will come back to the Black Hole and for a winner-take-all game five. The Series resumes on Monday in the Motor City at Comerica Park.
