Miggy put these numbers up and he played twelve less games than Crush Davis. The telling stat is 90 walks and 94 K's for Cabrera. Crush Davis walked 72 times and struck out a robust 199 times. Davis Did have more RBI, HR, X-Base Hits (XBH), and they tied for Runs scored at 103. Only Rangers Hot Corner Adrain Beltre had more hits than Cabrera 199 to 193. Crush Davis was 23rd with 167 hits. Cabrera also led the Junior Circuit and the Show in Average at .348. It is was that close for both.
#3 Mike Trout LF #Halos
Vitals: .323 avg (3rd) 27 HR (14th) 97 RBI (9th) 109 Runs (1st) .988 OPS (3rd) 75 XBH (2nd) 39 Doubles (Tied 7th)
He started off slow and outside of Miggy and Joe Mauer he was blazing to get his average above .320. He was first in Runs Scored again and just missed the 30/100 Club. An amazing talent an he will get his MVP Hardware soon as he is all that and the Halos did the intelligent thing by moving off Center Field to limit the chances for injury.
#4 Adam Jones CF #Os
Vitals: .285 avg (22nd) 33 HR (6th)
108 RBI (3rd) 100 Runs (2nd) .811 OPS (19th) 69 XBH (6th) 35 Doubles (Tied 19th)
He wasn't teammate "Crush" Davis' Caddy sort a speak but he was simply "Adam Bombs". In the 2nd half of 2013 as he and "Crush" kept "Hope Alive" in Charm City with their Round Tripper and Power Number Theatrics in 2013. He is a throwback player as he can run, will get another Gold Glove" in Center for 2013, and his Power Numbers are going up with Age...naturally.
#5 Edwin Encarnacion 1B #BlueBirds
Vitals: .272 avg (Tied 36th) 36 HR (3rd) 104 RBI (6th) 90 Runs (Tied 11th) .904 OPS (5th) 66 XBH (Tied 9th) 29 Doubles (Tied 29th)
In a season with so many high expectations for the Jays as they made what looked to be solid move after solid move they failed. Mr. Encarnacion though kept his end of the bargain up and led the 'Jays in most offensive categories as "Jose Bat" continues to struggle staying on the field. "E2" is the best Player in the Show you never hear about but ask Major League Pitchers who he is they will chuckle and then say..can hit with the best of them!
