Everyone is always talking about the greatest or the G.O.A.T. in the NBA and they always casually mention Air Jordan, the Black Mamba and/or King James among a few others. What ever happened to the dynamic duo from the Salt Flats still flying heavily under the radar like they did every 82 they played through as both are among the NBA Elite in at least two categories.

Yes like the late great Jazz Play by Play Guru Rodney "Hot Rod" Hundley would always call them after connecting "Stockton to Malone" yes talking Gonzaga's Point God John Stockton and Louisiana Tech's Karl Malone.

These two are among the top in Points (Malone 2nd) and Assist (Stock All-Time Leader) and no one ever mentions these two and they dominated. If it wasn't for a few gentleman by the name of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen and the Chicago Bulls the Jazz would have at least won a Chop maybe two as they faced Mike and Scottie back to back from 1996-1998

Let's take a look at the top players in Points and Assists in the NBA All-Time...and where does Stock and Malone stand?

POINTS
NBA All-Time Leaders

Kareem 38,387
#2 "Mailman" Malone 36,928
Black Mamba 33,643
Air Jordan 32,292
King James 32,138

ASSISTS
NBA All-Time Leaders

#1 "Stock" Stockton 15,806
J-Kidd 12,091
Nash 10,335
Mark Jackson 10,141
Magic 10,141

360 Degrees

Stock was invited to that infamous 1984 USA Olympic Tryout where He and Charles Barkley were cut and Malone was even invited...Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing were the headliners coached by the "General" Bob Knight of the Indiana Hoosiers...

These numbers illustrate "Consistency" and "Dedication" to your craft and the players on these lists along with "Stock" and the "Mailman" went 82 every single season or close to 82 with no issues whatsoever...

Stock starred for little known Gonzaga in Spokane, Washington and Malone for La Tech in Ruston, Louisiana..

1992 USA Basketball "Dream" Team Members...
