Like a heavyweight fist fight from back in the day say the 19080s you know 15 rounds of 260 pound Earthlings pounding on one another with no fix. Yes the San Antonio Spurs were in town and that is big in Toronto but even bigger when one of their favorite sons is back for the first time in DeMar DeRozan from Compton, California and the Men of Troy dba #FightOn!
A game that was 56-55 at the break Spurs and 91-88 after three went down to the wire with the Toronto pulling it out. DeMar didn't disappoint with a team-high 23 points on a solid 7 for 12 from the field. It was Marco Belinelli off that Spurs Bench with a big 21 points including five money balls that had the Spurs in it the entire game.
After all that smoke it was former Spurs All-Star the "Klaw" Kawhi Leonard game-high 25 points on a bad night of 8 for 23 from the field. Raptors emerging Star Paschal Siakam's 22 points and Serge Ibaka' dbs Air Congo added 13 points and fifteen boards with All-Star PG Kyle Lowry and Danny Green both netting 17 that put the Six Basketball in the winner's circle.
Not to be outdone it was both ex-Spurs K.L. and Green going up against Pops and the Spurs for one last time in the 2k18-19 season and out of all the players that ever left the Spurs the "Klaw" leaving took something out of Pops and R.C. and they move on both parties and its business.
Toronto moves to 44-16 staying close to the green hot Milwaukee Bucks as the Spurs fall into a 7th place tie with of all teams Doc Rivers' L.A. Clippers at 33-27...
