The Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks are going for it and why the other teams in the East are looking up at them they keep adding pieces to make that run to hopefully be playing games into June 2k19.
The Raptors might have made the best move of anyone at the NBA Trade Deadline grabbing former All-Star and Spain National Team Star Marc Gasol. Look Gasol (pictured right with older bro Pau Gasol form Team Espana) was headed by many to Michael Jordan and the Charlotte Hornets but nothing like going from the West Port-A-Potty to East Loft-Style living.
Gasol brings flexibility and he can shoot with his back to the basket, face-up, hook shots over both shoulders, run him high or low screen and roll or pop and he can hit the Money Ball and most importantly he is a winner with all that playoff experience and national team experience so the pressure cooker is his 2nd home.
As for what Ujiri and Company gave up they send disgruntled Lithuanian Jonas Valanciunas, CJ Miles and Delon Wright and that is two former Raptors first rounders. Now that middle of that Raptors "O" and "D" is fortified with Gasol and add the "Klaw" Kawhi Leonard and Serge Ibaka among others to Gasol's prowess lookout the East might just run through Dinosaurs.
