The Virginia Cavaliers came into tonight's action in ACC Play with one thing on their mind win or the ACC Regular Season Title will not be the Cavs of UVA Men's Hops. The North Carolina Tar Heels were thinking take care of business at the Dean Smith Center and we secure the ACC as a two-team race and we put UVA away until ACC Tourney Time.
Virginia showing all those Tony Bennett Traits playing Tony Bennett Ball dod what they do and secured arguably their biggest win in the 2k18-19 season considering what was at stake in its totality. It was All-ACC performer Guard Kyle Guy (20 pts) timely shooting and De'Andre Hunter's (20 pts 5 rebs) inside and outside play that gave the Wahoos victory.
UNC (down 36-29 at the half) took the lead at the at the just over 14 minute mark. A Cam Johnson jumper gave UNC a 53-46 lead and the 'Heels were looking to put away UVA and then it happened. Carolina scored a total of 8 points in over 8 minutes of play as UVA closed on a 23-8 run for a convincing 69-61 "W"!
UNC Freshman Coby White led with 17 points but he shot 3 for 11 from the Raleigh, North Carolina as the 'Heels shot just 9 for 30 from deep for the game. Pre-Season All-ACC PF Luke Maye had just 4 points as the lack of a UNC low post presence is killing the 'Heels and if Maye isn't the answer I don't know what is moving forward. Yes 2k19 Top 20 National Recruit Armando Bacot is signed for UNC right now but they need Oak Hill VA Academy Star PG and #2 overall prospect nationally Cole Anthony to sign with the 'Heels.
As for ACC Play both teams are 9-2 with Duke at 10-1...
