That game 2 Grizzlies squad compared to that game 1 Grizzlies squad was night and day...apples to oranges...and Kim K to Paris...and McFarlane Sports Picks to Starting Line Ups! That's right the Memphis Grizzlies on Steph Curry Night with Under Armour's #1 NBA Hooper getting his "Fight for Mo" Trophy shut it down, shut Dubs down, shut Planet Oracle down, and shut "Los Splash Hermanos" down playing the only way they know how...you know Grit and Grind!
Led by Mike "One-Eyed Charlie" Conley and showing huge "Grapes" the Grizz hits the Winner's Circle 97-90. Conley had a game-high 22 points on 8 of 12 shooting and 3 for 6 from the arc. Just having his leadership and running the flow of that Grizz Offense and setting the all important "Pace" was a huge factor for Memphis.
The Warriors struggled hitting shots and was nothing they did wrong. See in "Winning Time" unlike the 82-game trek everything is heightened from warm-ups to game preparations to the all important defense. They missed shots largely due to that Grit and Grind "D" that was put on them.
Steph led with 19 points and Klay with 13 points as they combined to shoot 13 for 34 from the field. What they are known for is shooting from downtown going by the alias "Los Splash Hermanos" and they were a dismal 3 for 17 with Grizzlies players draped all over them for 48 minutes. Those 20 turnovers they committed didn't help but all that had to do with the "Grind Father" Tony Allen and the game plan executed to a tee.
Now we head to Memphis and look what's on the menu "Memphis in May" and Saturday night action at the Grind House. Game 3 is 9pm ET Saturday May 9th and look for the Grind House to be on ten as it should be a "Night out with the Grind House Bigs" Marc and Z-Bo!
