Bulls 2014-15 All-Star Pau Gasol had a game-high 26 points to go with ten boards but it was the Pistons and Bulls lethargic play in back to back frames that had the Madhouse feeling like a Chicago Public Library...shhhhhhhhhhhhh!
The Bulls led 47-35 at the break but not after Pistons put up an Illinois High School Basketball Association-eque 9 points in the 2nd frame. The Bulls more than capable at times of doing the same thing the Pistons did in the 2nd did in the 3rd frame.
The Bulls score a dozen in the 3rd erasing that 12-point lead as the Pistons tied the Bulls 59-59 at the end of three. Reggie Jackson led Detroit after three with 14 points as Pau Gasol led Chicago with 19. "See Red" scored just two points in the last 5:27 of the 3rd as the Pistons outscored them 9-2.
The Bulls started the 4th on a 13-4 run leading 72-63 at the eight minute mark. Detroit just above the two-minute mark tied the game at 78-78 going on a 15-6 run. Aaron Brooks hit a huge money ball giving the Bulls a 81-78 lead and they never looked back winning 88-82.
With Gasol's 26 it was Jimmy Butler's 18 points and the Bulls Bench outscoring the Pistons Bench 26-18. Jackson led Detroit with 22 points and nine assists with Andre Drummond adding 14 points and grabbing a game-high twenty-two boards.
Bulls move to 46-30 as the Raptors lose to the Nets falling to 45-31 and that was intelligent on #WeTheNorth's Part...really!
