Just like that a 1-1 game heading into the 3rd changed in the 3rd behind a James Neal wrap-around goal past Hawks net minder Scott Darling just 47 seconds into the 3rd. Not even three minutes after that it was Preds up 4-1 as Colin Wilson and Filip Forsberg all "light the lamp".
The Hawks were dead on ice after that as the Preds end up winning 5-2 as Forsberg ended up with an empty netter for the hat-trick. The Hawks missed a huge opportunity to put these boys away and now we have a series heading back to Second City with the Hawks on the clock.
Both net minders were real good through two as Darling gave up 3 goals in the 3rd in just 7 SOG. Pekka Rinne held his own after getting spotted that 4-1 lead early in the 3rd halting 28 of 30 SOG. Ironically enough the Indian Head out shot the Preds for the first time in the series 30-29 and lose.
Now the Hawks get the Preds back at the Madhouse on Saturday April 25th at 8pm ET as Hawks Nation and the Hawks on ice cannot let the Preds leave without a Gift Basket of some of Chicago's Finest Eats and a Dick Sporting Good's $100 Certificate for the off-season...c'mon Hawks end this series ASAP!
