This was one heckuva game and the loser was the winner as the Nashville Predators and Chicago Blackhawks go almost five hours from PM to the AM Central time only for that man from Team Indian Head to strike again in triple extras!
After Preds blue-paint tenant Pekka Rinne halted 45 of 48 SOG and Hawks net minder Scott Darling stopped 50 of 52 SOG there had to be a loser in net. It was a misplay by the Preds around the :50 second mark as fresh legs were on the ice. It was a Bryan Bickell to Patrick Kane to Brent "Brooksie" Seabrook up top for his patented "Slapper" past Rinne with a blocker in front for the Hawks win!
This was a tightly contested as you will see Stanley Cup Playoff Hockey and for the Preds its demoralizing because you not only lose after 5 plus frames of hockey but you fall back 3-1 in the best of seven series.
The Indian Head now will head back to the Music City on Thursday April 23 at 9:30pm ET for a Hawks possible series clincher as the Preds will be facing elimination from here on out.
As for Hawks TV Announcers Pat Foley and Eddie Olczyk that 48oz Rib Eye was going to give way to a stack of Flapjacks with a side of Eggs scrambled hard and a dish of sausage...Hawks win!
