Just like that the #1 and #3 Sees in the NHL Central in the Western Conference are eliminated in consecutive days. The Minnesota Wild behind a raucous crowd at the Xcel Energy Center finishes off the St. Louis Blues 4-1 in game 6 and the series 4-2.

It was Wild Star Left Winger Zach Parise's two goals and Devan Dubnyk's excellent play in the blue-paint that gives the Wild a 4-2 series win as they will face the Chicago Blackhawks in round 2. Parise started the scoring with the only goal in frame one making it 1-0 with a snapper beating Jake Allen who would later be puled in desperation by the Blues.

The Wild then strikes just over midway through the 2nd with a Justin Fontaine score making it 2-0 Wild. The Blues by then were all but out of it as they made the switch in net to Brian Elliot after the 2nd goal. That's when T.J. Oshie score just four seconds from the horn to end the 2nd for a 2-1 Wild lead sending Wild Nation to a disappointing 2nd intermission.

The back breaker was Parise's 2nd goal of the game coming just a minute into the 3rd making it 3-1 as the Wild the way net minder Devan Dubnyk was playing had things under control by then. Nino Niederreiter finished off the Blues with a empty netter for a 4-1 final score as the Wild and Xcel Energy Center went "Wild"!

Dubnyk stopped 30 of 31 SOG as Blues net minders Allen and Elliot combined to stop 17 of SOG. Now the Wild will face Chicago as the 3rd time might be a charm with the Indian Head having home ice!
