If you would have told the Bluedude before the game that Arizona would be leading by less than ten points early in the 2nd half with DeAngelo Russell shooting 2 for 15 at that point in the game I would have told you the Buckeyes might pull it off. Also if you would have said Arizona PG T.J. McConnell would control the "Pace" of the game and get his money I would have told you the 'Cats win going away. The ladder happened as the Buckeyes could have done more through that 2nd half with the O-State still in reach as the 'Cats win 73-58 a game much close than that final indicates.

Arizona went to McConnell to guard the Buckeyes Stars Russell and it worked in the 2nd half. The Buckeyes should have went two-man game or even three-man game with the shooter ball side (Marc Loving) and made them pay for McConnell on Russell as he either scores in the low-post with McConnell on him. If they double send it to loving for the money ball.

The three-man game throw in Shannon Scott at the top and now you have a triangle set running both wings off Russell with the orange or staying put to see how the 'Cats play Russell in the post. None of that happened and the Buckeyes go home.

McConnell had 19 points, six helpers, and six assists shooting 8 for 13 with his partner in crime Gabe York also netting 19. The 'Cats Guard play simply dominated the Buckeyes guard play as 'Cats SF Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added 10 points and grabbed eleven boards. Freshman sensation Stanley Johnson was 1 for 12 with 4 points.

Russell ended the night with 9 points on 3 for 19 shooting as Buckeyes Senior Sam Thomspon led Ohio State with 18 points. Bucks shoot 38% from the field and under 30% from the arc leading to their fate!

The 'Cats march on to the Sweet 16 in Los Angeles to face the Musketeers of Xavier Ohio...
