I told you in my award-winning feature "Playbook" on "Logo Watch" talking Atlanta versus Golden State that the the Hawks small front line plays right into the mitts of the Dubs "Bigs" starting "Smalls".
After the intros and the build up on Twitter dba #BattleOfTheBest the Warriors went "Retro Night" playing "Nellie Ball" as I started to look for Run T.M.C.. The Hawks for one lets G.S.W. shoot 14 for 30 from the Arc and that is "Death" playing Dubs All Day on any day let alone on Planet Oracle on Warriors Ground!
Secondly SF Harrison Barnes had a game-high 25 points as DeMarre Carroll could not check him at the front door or anyone else thy tried to put on Barnes. Throw in 18 points and seven boards from the "Lawnmower Man" Draymond Green and "Iggy of Planet Oracle" coming off the bench adding 21 points for Dubs Nation, " Today was a good day"!
If you would have told me Stephen Curry Under Armour's Scooby Doos "Clutch Fit" Poster Child would have 16 points and a dozen assists I would have told you Atlanta had a shot. Then when Atlanta Hawks All-Star PG Jeff Teague struggles with a dozen points and his Caddy Dennis Schroder adding eight points as they combine to shoot 5 for 20 from the field and 1 for 6 from deep...Warriors all day.
I think the Warriors moving forward are legit and the Hawks if you have a nice size front line you can give them the "Fight for Larry" Business over the course of a seven game series. Atlanta #1 Priority this off-season is to get "Big" at the 5 and run Big Al Horford at the PF and Milsap at the SF...real talk.
Hawks Carroll and Milsap led with 16 points apiece...
Warriors move to 54-13 while the Hawks fall to 53-15...
