Say it isn't so as the Indian Head beats Gotham City Metro Ice Games on back to back nights going Madhouse/Motel. The night though belonged to of course Mike Richards with the game-winner and the only goal of the night. It also belonged to Hawks blue-paint tenant Scott Darling as he goes straight Vezina Trophy (Ice Games #1 Goalie Award) getting his inner "Craw-Dad" on (Corey Crawford) on as the Hawks have won 4 games in a row.
Richards scored on an assists from D.K. and newly-acquired Andrew Desjardins (Ben Smith to San Jose Trade) just below the 13 minute mark. It was the Hawks "D" then last few weeks rising up to the occasion and for the Central leading "Preds" and 2nd place Blue Notes...you have company as we have a photo finish in Ice Games' Central division.
Blue Shirts net-minder Cam Talbot taking nothing away from the young man was equally as good as Darling he just missed the Frozen One once and that was ll it took as he stopped 30 of 31 SOG. Both teams were 0 for 2 on the P.P. as the Indian Head out shot the Rangers 31-25.
Chicago now moves to 92 points with the "Preds" at 95 and the Blue Notes at 94. The Hawks with 9 games left will see the Jets, Kings, and Blue Notes to highlight that last nine!
Note: Blue Shirts tied in the East for best W-L at 95 points with the Le Bleu-Blanc-Rouge dba Montreal's Flying Frenchmen the "Habs"!
