Led by former five-star recruit and Big Mac All-American Tony Parker from the state of Georgia (under the Ben Howland regime at UCLA as Parker's Recruiting Class at UCLA consisted of T'Wolves Bazz Muhammad and Spurs Kyle Anderson) and his 28 points the Bruins are headed to the Sweet 16 beating UAB 92-75.
The Blazers had their running shoes on as did the Bruins and it just came down to my horses are better than your horses. The Bruins took a 46-37 lead into the break and in the 2nd half halted run after run by Blazer Mania as the Bruins shoot a blazing 60% from the field and 55% from the arc dominating in the paint.
Along with Parker's 28 freshman and projected 2015 NBA 1st rounder Kevon Looney (from Milwaukee, Wisconsin) added 10 points and grabbed eleven boards with Bryce Alford at it again adding 22 points shooting 3 for 5 from the arc. For Alford that is 12 for 16 in two games from deep and he will be checked from the time he gets off the Charter to the locker room to the hardwood in the Sweet 16 trust me on that!
UAB had no shot as they could not stop the Bruins. Robert Brown led UAB with 25 points as they shoot 12 for 26 from the arc but was -15 on the glass and -12 in makes from the stripe.
UCLA will move on to the Houston in the South Region 4 and meets the winner of Iowa/Gonzaga...
