The Atlanta Hawks keep winning and they cannot be denied as the #1 Team in the east regardless of record. They beat on Friday Night a feisty OKC Thunder Team that slowed down the Thunder big two in KD and Russ. The perfect storm for the 2014-15 Hawks is controlling the all important "Pace" and there is a team out west winning chips in Texas that's all they do when they go the "Fight for Larry"! Hawks Nation stand up for your 2014-15 Hawks dba Team Budenholzer and Hawks Family!
The Hawks led 48-47 at the break and 79-75 after three. Atlanta took off in the 4th behind 2013 top pick in Germany's Dennis Schroder and All-Star to be Paul Milsap as OKC could not contain Schroder who is much-improved being Hawks PG Jeff Teague's Caddy. Atlanta led by as many as 15 points before netting a 103-93 "W" as OKC could do nothing playing at Atlanta's Pace!
Milsap led the Hawks with 22 points and ten boards as he is a mis-match for the opposition on almost every night playing the PF but stretching out to the SF. Teague added 17 points and nine helpers with Big AL Horford dropping 14 points and grabbing a dozen Spalding Oranges. Atlanta helps themselves out shooting almost 50% from the field and 100% from the line going 13 for 13.
OKC gets 22 points and eleven helpers from Russ Westbrook and 21 points from @kdTREY5 with Serge Ibaka adding 13 points and ten boards. OKC is just put together wrong as they have the wrong pieces in place on that front line as Ibaka is a 5th option on a Championship contender or 4th option at best.
Hawks gobbling up the opposition moves to 36-8 as OKC falls to 22-21...
