CONGRATS
to
the
OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
2014 National Champions
First and foremost Buckeyes you have earned this one and the 2014 Trek that started not on a yellow-brick road but a loss at the "Shoe" to Beamer Ball Blacksburg in game one. This is after losing Heisman Hoeful QB "Braxton to the Future" in Braxton Miller. Then TJ Barrett takes over and they run the table only to lose Barrett in the last Big Ten Game vs Michigan. A QB by the name of Cardale Jones takes over and they hammer Wisconsin and beat 'Bama convincingly and to be in Dallas on January 12, 2015 grabbing a Chip...it's all about that Urban Legend!
It was the Ducks who started fast but the Buckeyes after four turnovers still putting it to that dynamic Oregon Offense. They held the 2014 Heisman Winner Marcus Mariota and the Ducks to 465 yards of total offense but keeping them out of the end zone was huge. Free Buckeyes D-Coordinator Luke Fickell as he did a masterful job with that "D" led by All-American DE Joey Bosa.
The Buckeyes on offense ran right at the Quack Attack and RB Ezekiel Elliott up there with names like Eddie George and Archie Griffith goes for 246 yards on 36 carries and four TD's as he is still running right back to High Street in Columbus, Ohio to join the madness!
Buckeyes QB Cardale Jones threw for a cool 242 yard on 16 for 23 and a TD and INT. He also ran for 38 yards and using his massive body and legs converting a few key 3rd downs and 4th downs. The Buckeyes O-Line just wanted it more and took it as the Buckeyes are the first-ever College Football Playoff National Champions.
Mariota in his last outing as a Duck threw for 333 yards on 24 for 37 and a TD and INT. He will be a high pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
