The Chicago Bulls knew exactly what they would be up against on the 2nd leg of a back to back coming out of the motel. That double-overtime Lakers Loss was huge knowing their would get a well-rested Suns Bunch running on the "Three Amigos" in Suns guards Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, and Isaiah Thomas.
Bulls fell behind early and was down 55-42 at the break. The legs and were no there as it appeared all the Bulls shots were falling short. Then the Bulls also missed seven free throws in the 1st half and that would for sure comeback to haunt them as they came 3rd in the Logo as a team shooting at a 82% clip.
The Bulls though tied the game with a furious run in the 3rd frame as the Suns led 68-67 at the end of the 3rd. See Red then battled all 4th frame only to come up short 99-93. It was a combo of missed free throws and getting beta up on the defensive glass. Phoenix had some huge offensive boards and put backs late to kill the Bulls hopes of stealing this one.
D-Rose led the Bulls with 23 points on 8 for 23 from the field. Jimmy Butler added 22 points and seven boards with Aaron Brooks adding 21 points. Too much guard play for the Bulls as they didn't play "Big" again running through Jo and Pau on offense.
Bledsoe led Phoenix with 23 points and six helpers and Dragic added 21 points with the Morris Twins combining for 24 points and nineteen boards.
Bulls now will get the Houston Rockets on "Hump Day" February 4th and 8pm ET as the six-game road trip might take a turn in Vegas for the rest of the weekend or stay in Phoenix for Super Bowl Sunday!
Note: Bulls 1-2 on six-game Motel Swing as they have Clutch City, NOLA, and Mouse Town left on the itinerary!
