The Indianapolis Colts took it right to the Cincinnati Bengals as the "Fight for Lamar" started with three AFC north teams and is now down to one advancing in the Baltimore Ravens. The Colts did it with a mice balance of Herron in the run and short passing game and Andrew Luck precision in the vertical passing game.
The Bengals down just 13-10 at the break went stone cold in the 2nd half as the Bengals missing TE Tyler Eifert and WR AJ Green and even Vontaze Burfict finally caught up to them. Not making any excuses as the better team won but for Cincy that is three of their top 10 players with Green and Burfict in the top 5.
The Colts Herron was playing Giovani Bernard in this one running for 56 yards and adding 85 yards in the passing game. Luck's #1 target TY Hilton has six grabs for 103 yards as Luck threw for 376 yards on 31 for 44 and no INT's!
Bengals QB Andy Dalton threw for just 155 yards but his run game abandoned him with Jeremy Hill running for 47 yards on 13 totes. Colts PK Adam Vinatieri added four FG's and the Colts "D" did the rest.
For Indy they head to the Week 1 Crime Scene in Denver for a date with the Denver Broncos. For Cincy what do they need to do to get it right as getting to the playoffs for them is a formality but winning in the playoffs is another conversation!
