If this was a Movie the Script would have never went like this...45-31 Sooners as a Redshirt-Freshman goes in on the Crimson Tide for four frames and delivers a huge bowl win not for just Oklahoma and Bob Stoops...but for the Big 12 as a Conference and recruiting for the OU and the Big 12. Now if just the 'Noles could handle the Auburn tigers that would end the SEC dominance of the National Championships for 84 months in a row.

Back to the Sugar Bowl and the Champs Oklahoma Sooner the Redshirt Freshman named QB Trevor Knight had a night to remember. Knight went 32 of 44 for 348 yards and 4 TDs while throwing an INT. He was scintillating to say the least as that vaunted 'Bama "D" and it wasn't the same 'Bama "D" we were use to seeing was getting outplayed and out coached for four quarters. That is not taking shots at Nick Saban but the 'Bama Faithful saying that 'Bama looked uninterested because it lost to Auburn is Hog Wash! Anyone would look uninterested if it took you at least a quarter or a whole half to find your backside. Sooners were just bringing it full tilt and they appeared to be extremely motivated to back their coach and did.

'Bama QB AJ McCarron goes 36-4 in his 'Bama Career and the two of the four losses were his last two games and that is not what you want to be remembering if your McCarron as his career was outstanding to say the least. I will say this was the first time in along time that 'Bama lost the war in the trenches...OU had seven Red Jersey Collections (Sacks) and 'Bama gave up just Ten Sacks all season long. A.J. was still 19 for 30 for 378 yards and 2 TDs and 2 INTs. For Roll Tide Faithful you also saw another glimpse of the future at RB as Yulee, Florida Native and Freshman RB Derrick Henry rushed for 100 yards and two TDs on just eight carries. AT 6-3 and just under 240 el bees he looks like bigger former Ohio State All-American RB and Vikings All-Pro Robert Smith at least the same up and down running style.

OU ends up 11-2 as do the Tide and enjoy this one Boomer Sooner as Spring Practice will be hear before you know it as the QB Depth Chart will start at OU with Mr. Knight as the starter perhaps.
