The Philadelphia 76ers have been on a roller- coaster ride for quite some time which started in the Summer of 2012 getting the Prized Free Agent Andrew Bynum from the Lakers who never played a period for the Sixers. To letting 2012-13 All-Star PG Jrue Holiday go on Draft Day to every ones surprise. Then came Rook PG Michael Carter-Williams sensational start that was a flash in the pan like most NBA Rooks. Now they Sixers are riding the shoulders of their two key guys Evan Turner aka "E.T. phone Broad Street" and Thaddeus Young born and raised from Fed Ex World Headquarter City and Basketball-crazed Memphis Tennessee hence the nickname "Thad-Ex".
Those two player carried seven players into double figures as the Sixers go into the Big 2-Liter 5,280 feet above Ocean Water and beat the Nugs 114-102. E.T. led with 23 points, five rebounds, and six assists while Thad-Ex goes 17 points and ten boards as Rook M.C.W. goes 16 points, nine rebounds, and six helpers to fill the stat sheet. The Sixers 44-26 2nd frame aided them heavily in this "W" as well as a +12 from the Arc.
The Nugs have lost now eight in a row as they try to find themselves in somewhat of a transition under new lead man Brian Shaw. Poor-Shooting from the Field and the Arc as well as the Free throw Line have collectively been their downfall. The Nugs get 19 points and eleven boards from underrated Big JJ Hickson as he led all five Starters in double figures. Wilson Chandler added 16 and seven boards with Ty Lawson filling the sheet up with 15 points, eleven assists, and 6 boards. A horrible 5 for 25 from the Arc and under 72% from the Line isn't getting it done.
The Sixers move to 10-21 while the Nugs fall to 14-17 after being 14-9 two and a half weeks ago.
