I saw him after the 7" growth spurt and then saw tapes of him before the spurt. A low maybe to mid-major Combo Guard who could handle (not Dan Ryan 5pm Rush Hour Handles) and was semi-quick with a 19'9" Range and alright athletically. He had one potential offer before his spurt to Cleveland State in Ohio.

What we saw after coming on the scene at Chicago, Illinois Perspectives HS was what I saw in 1995 at Farragut Academy seeing a young man play by the name of Kevin Garnett. Unlike Garnett (originally from Mauldin SC and from the O.B.F. the Original Block Family) Anthony Davis was born and raised in the 'Go. Now everyone is jumping on the Ant Davis Bandwagon (rightfully so) and I knew he was going to these heights.

Now at a nice 6-9 and around 220 el bees with a wingspan of 7' 5.5" with a standing reach of 9'. Yes just like the Team he plays for when a Pelican goes to fly and expands its wings that's Davis like a Pelican/Condor Hybrid. I saw a man in HS and at Kentucky with Kevin Garnett Defensive Skills with a Sheed Wallace (the Best Big Man out of Philly (Simon Gratz HS) since Overbrook HS late great Wilt 20K) like perimeter mid-range game and a handle at his size like former UConn All-American and NBA Player from Reading Pennsylvania Donyell Marshall. Davis is just a unique ball player and not knocking the Market he plays in as that is fabulous for the NOLA Community but he would have been a household name by now playing in a larger market.

One night Davis is blocking everything and eating the Glass grabbing every orange in sight. The next night he is scoring 30 doing what he did the night before but impacting the Pelican Offense. The Kid is the next KG/Sheed Hybrid and if he can get a little weight and add a Back to the Basket Game and go to Camp Dream...Lookout!

As we go to press the NOLA Pelican #23 is averaging 19 ppg 10.1 rebs. 3.2 blks while playing on instinct and talent alone. All that is in 34 plus minutes per and in 25 games of the Pelicans 32 games played. I see it every night as his impact isn't seen in the Stat Book but you have to see him play and that is the Dude that is off the charts the one that can get barely double figures scoring but is the talk of the night!

Coach Cal at #WeRUK is still waiting for an Anthony Davis...forget about it he is a once in 15-20 years dynamic player and I don't care how many Big Mac's and Quarter Pounders Cal gets...Ant Davis is Picasso Art....1 of 1 wearing of course #23!

Now here comes more BIGS from the 'GO in 2014 #1 Overall Jahlil Okafor @BigJAH22 of Chicago Whitney Young HS going to Duke and Chicago Curie PF and #3 Overall Cliff Alexander @HumbleKid11 going to Kansas with bright futures but they are no Ant Davis...believe that!
