Don't look at the standings in the Southwest but the Houston Rockets have put together quite a run in the last few weeks and other teams must start to take note. The Rockets go into the Alamo City and hit the Spurs for a 112-106 Win as the Spurs Community was thinking we can run the Rockets well that's not the Spurs Game.
Behind 31 points, seven boards, and six helpers from James Harden and a 25 point night from Chandler Parsons the Rockets played solid the whole 48 to get this one. Dwight of Three Stripes added 13 points and eleven off the glass but it was Clutch City's Effort on the glass (+21) and in the Passing lanes (13 thefts) that helped them corral the Spurs. The Rockets beat them shooting a dismal 19 of 30 from the Line. They wee +12 with the Money Ball as the Spurs shot 26 to the Rockets 30.
Spurs Point God and 2013-14 M.V.p. Candidate "TP9" Tony Parker led SAS with 27 points, eight helpers, and six boards. "Dunc" added 20 points and eight off the glass but it was the Spurs Shooters who didn't knock down shots and that was a huge reason they lost and some night you tip your cap to the opponents. Spurs 2013 Free Agent Pick Up and former Bulls Sniper Marco Belinelli continues his stellar play off the Bench with 18 points including 4 of 6 from deep. To me that was the Pick-Up of the Summer and that solidified that Spurs Bench and gives them versatility at the Shooting Guard and Small Forward. Imagine the Spurs making all the right moves with their Cash...seen that before!
The Rockets move to an impressive 13-5 as the Spurs fall to 14-3...and how the Southwest will be won!
