The Indiana Pacers couldn't have played a better half and a better start of the 3rd frame as they had the Heat right where they wanted them. The Heat in turn imploding at times (talking King James and "Regular Mario" Cat Fight) to their credit hung tough and weathered the storm created by the Pacers. This game was just as advertised a 12-Round Heavy Weight Bout and Teams have got knocked after One round.
The Pacers leading at the break 52-41 played a solid 1st half executing on both ends of the floor had the Heat for the most part out of sync offensively. Then after the Break they got things going as the Real Dwayne Wade stood up and went to work amidst all the chatter of Wade County isn't the same Ole' Wade or even "Flash" that he once was. Behind that and 32 points from "Flash" and s Buffet of Numbers from King James (24 points 9 rebounds 7 assists) the Champs outscored Blue Collar turned back to Gold Swagger in the 2nd half 56-42. The Heat defensively were doing the same things that the Pacers were doing to them and that executing on both ends of the floor as they turned it up on the Pacers.
The Heat erased a 14-point deficit in the 3rd to evening the core up late. That's when King James got the rebound and with the Pacers "D" worried about what James was going to do in Transition the 2k13 Version of the Dunk came into play..."Sugar Ray" Allen with a Transition Money Ball to save the day. The back end of that break the Pacers Big who was trailing should have bust his butt to get to Ray or put James on the Line to stop the break. The Pacers didn't and they lost a tough one.
Paul George led the Pacers with 25 points while adding eight boards and six assists. D-West had a monster game with 23 points while Lance Stephenson went for 13 points an nine assists. The Heat move to 19-6 and the Pacers 20-5 and their first two-game skid of the 2013-14 season. These two teams won't play each other again until March 25, 2013.
