The Philadelphia Eagles jumped out to a big lead and the Cardinals never recovered as when they got things going the Cheese steaks were already headed to the Bird Gang Charter on that Philadelphia International Airport Tarmac. The Eagles used a balance attack and they beat the Cards 24-21 to stay right with the Dallas Cowboys for that NFC East Title.
Eagles QB Nick Foles added to his 17 TDs and no INTs with a 21/34 for 237 yard performance and three TDs and no INTs. That makes it 20 TDs and no INTs on the 2013 season and Eagles Nation has to be thinking for the love of the Football Gods sending us a QB and a Team that Broad Street Philly Nation could be proud of. Eagles RB Shady McCoy ran for 79 yards on 19 carries but the day belonged to Stanford Rookie TE Zach Ertz. Ertz abused the Bird Gang Backers and Safeties as he caught 5 Pigs for 68 yards and two of those five Pigs had sauce on them in the Bird Gang End Zone. A man's best friend on Sunday is a reliable Run Game or Tight End who can do damage all over the field.
The Cards get a huge day from QB Carson Palmer who was 24 for 41 and 302 yards as he accounted for all three Cards Scores. Floyd, Fitzgerald, and TE Jim Dray all caught TDs. RB Shard Mendenhall ran for 76 yards on just 14 carries. It was the Cards "D" inability to stop the Eagles early in the Red Zone that cost them late as that Bird Gang Offense did more than what was expected.
The Eagles move into a tie with the Cowboys at 7-54. The Cardinals on the other hand fall to 7-5 and it gets complicated as they hope the rams can beat the Niners so that the 49ers fall back to them at 7-5. Both the Eagles and Cards have key divisional games that will provide us with a clearer picture as we move onto Weeks 14 and 15 and beyond.
