The defending World Series Champs stopped off in ATL for a three game set and they get a Fall Classic-like Performance from LHP Madison Bumgarner. Garner out duels Braves RHP Kris Medlen as he goes seven innings allowing just two hits and sending ten Braves back to the bench wondering what just happened. Giants Lead-Of Hitter Gregor Blanco took Medlen deep as the first man to the plate and Bumgarner didn't allow a hit until the 6th inning. The Gigantes move to 34-31 while the Braves fall to 39-28 which is still leading the NL East by 5 1/2 over the Nats.    

The Baltimore Orioles have taken the first two games of a four gam set vs the AL East leading Carmines to shave the lead down to 1 1/2 games. The Yankees are in the midst of a four game skid and the O's have dropped them to 3rd in the East. Behind O's RHP Chris Tillman's six innings of no runs on three hits striking out three and giving up four free passes the red Sox did nothing. O's Star First Baseman Chris Davis went Solo Job in the 2nd Inning off of Bo Sox Starter Ryan Dempster as that was all the O's would need.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are not going away anytime soon and they have arguably the best closer on the Senior Circuit. Lefty Jeff Locke of the Buccos came down on the Dodgers to the tune of seven innings of two hit ball while striking out five "Boys in Blue". "Cutch 22", Martin, and Pressley all scored as they were at the Top of the Pirates Order. Dodgers RHP Stephen Fife didn't pitch bad as he takes the loss after a five inning six hit and giving up two run performance. The Buccos are lurking in the best division in the Show...the NL Central. Pirates Closer Jason Grilli added to his save count getting number 24 tonight as he has been virtually untouchable with a 0.91 ERA and 24 for 24 in Save Chances.
