The Chicago Blackhawks were cruising to what looked like a shutout and then the Nashville Predators had other ideas. The Predators score Two Goals in the 3rd frame and force a Overtime and Shootout. There the Blackhawks take advantage for the Predators and down in a shootout and get the Points. Thew Hawks now have 57 points and move in front of the Eastern Conference Best Record Pens of Pittsburgh (56 pts) by one point. Hawks will head to Nashville for a Thursday Night Game in Music City as part of a Home and Home Series.

Florida Gators Signee SF Chris Walker beat Chicago, Illinois Simeon HS and Duke Recruit Jabari Parker by 15 points to win the 2013 McDonald's All-American HS Slam Dunk Contest. Walker from Holmes County Florida HS will be a nice addition to "Billy Ball in the Swamp as he also joins PG Kasey Hill of Montverde Academy Florida as he also is going to the Gators.

The Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates on Opening Day 2K13 as former ND Fighting Irish WR and now Cubs Ace (at least for now) Jeff Samardzija pitched Eight masterful innings and struck out Nine Buccos as the Cubs win 3-1.  Pirates Starter A.J. Burnett went 5 and 2/3 and had 10 K's but got tapped in the 1st inning by Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo's 2-run blast. That was all the North Siders needed on this day. Buccos Star Andrew McCutchen was 1 for 3 scoring the Pirates only run.
