The Braves came into Nats Park with an 7-1 record and leaves D.C. with a 10-1 record as they send a clear cut message to all that the Braves are the "Beast in the NL East"...Final 9-0 Braves.  To make matters worse the Braves beat both Strasburg and Gonzalez back to back as they hammer Gio today and chase him after five innings.

The Braves puts seven runs on seven hits today through five innings on Nats #2 Gio Gonzlez. Braves newly-acquired OF Justin Upton continues to go "Yard" as he goes Solo Bomb in the 3rd off of G2. Also Braves SS Aldelton Simmons took Gio Yard for a 3-run shot as both Home Runs came in the 3rd frame. Braves LHP Paul Maholm went 7 2/3 allowing four hits and striking out seven while yielding one free pass. The Braves are a runaway train and will be tough to stop with both excellent hitting and pitching.

The Phightin' Phils get what the "Doc" Halladay ordered as the Phils beat the Fish 2-1. Halladay only struck out two Marlins Hitters but it was that Old Halladay changing speeds and location of his pitches that kept Fish Hitters off balance. Eight Innings, five hits, one earned run, and one free pass along with those two K's and that's just what the Phils need from their former Ace. The Fish waste a solid start from Kevin Slowey who went 5 1/3 allowing nine hits but only one run. Phils 1B Ryan Howard was 3 for 4 with a runs scored.

The Chicago White Sox slow the Tribe down or shall I say RHP Jake Peavy as Peavster went seven innings allowing one run and striking out eleven Tribe Hitters. "Paulie" Konerko was the hitting star as he delivered a two-run Big Fly in the top half of the 6th Frame to give the Pale Hose and Peavy a 2-1 lead and they never surrendered it winning 3-1. The Chi-Sox avoid the sweep as they move to 4-7 and the Tribe falls to .500 at 5-5.
