The NHL missed a lot of its Big Festivities in 2012-13 as they missed the NHL All-Star Game and the what was supposed to be the 6th Annual Winter Classic. Now the 6th Annual Classic will be not in the Motor City but close as the Hockey Town USA Red Wings will host the first Canadien Team to ever be in the Classic...the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Game will be held in the "Big House" in Ann Arbor, Michigan Home to the Maize and Blue: Football Team...the University of Michigan Wolverines. The last time the "Big House" hosted a Outdoor Hockey Game it was between the Michigan Spartans and Michigan Wolverines which drew a Hockey Record of some 104,000 Fans to the 2010 Contest. With the "Big House" expanded to now 110,000 expect the Wings and Leafs to break that record.

The Game will be held on January 1st, 2014 as Two of the "Original Six" (First 6 NHL Teams founded...Wings, Leafs, Canadiens, Bruins, Blackhawks, and Rangers) will be playing and as part of the NHL's New Alignment as both the Leafs and Wings are in the same division.

Note: New Alignment for Wings and Leafs in an Eight Team Division

Red Wings
Maple Leafs
Bruins
Sabres
Panthers
Senators
Lightning
Canadiens

Four of the Original Six will play in this Division as they still have to name the Four Divisions as this will one of the Divisions in the East.
