"FIGHT for RED"...the NBA Lead Man of the Year named after the Late Great C's Maestro RED Auerbach...Who wins it and why...#NBALeadMan2K12-13

The Battle and the Competition was stiff all they way to the end. We had lead man in the Logo for the 2012-13 Season lead Teams on Record-Breaking Win Streaks, Division Titles for the first time in years, and of course leading Teams without their Superstar. The Winner doesn't necessarily have to be a Lead Man whose team comes from the "Depths of Disparity" but it could be a Lead Man who was expected to win and exceeded expectations.

The Trophy named after the Late Great Celts Lead Man Arnold "RED" Auerbach as the Hardware is called the Red Auerbach Trophy commonly known as the "Fight for Red" at Bluedude Sportstalk.

The 2012-13 "Fight for Red" Winner and Nominees are as follows:

 "Fight for Red" Winner...George Karl #Nuggets...Karl led the Nugs with "NO" Superstars and to the 3rd best record in the West and the 4th best record in the Logo for 2012-13. The Man who has taken the CBA's Albany Patroons to the Championship and Seattle Supersonics has a great team and a young team with a few Superstars no matter how Coach puts it.

2a. Eric Spoelstra aka Coach Spo #WhiteHot...I can understate how masterful of a job Coach Spo did with the defending World Champs with seemingly something to play after winning a Chip. To go on a 27-game win streak (NBA 2nd longest ever) and to set a Franchise Record in W's (66) is tremendous feats. Remember just Two Playoffs ago they were calling for his Head....get'em Coach Spo.

2b. Mark "Action" Jackson #DUBnation...""It's not what were doing ...it's where we are going Gentleman..stay with me"...the great Words in the Fox Hole with Action Jackson as GSW went onto to get the #6 in the West and finish 2nd in the Pacific ahead of the Lakeshow Lakers. Led by PG Steph Curry and All-Star David Lee the Warriors have arrived and wait until the New Arena arrives...Straight Butta!

2c. Mike Woodson aka Wood #KnicksTape...just to get the Knicks to the #2 seed in the East is worth mentioning "Wood" in the "Fight for Red". Then to turn the Knicks into a Semi-Defensive Bunch with the Likes on 'Melo and J.R. is incredible. Wood leads the Knicks to their 1st Atlantic Division Title since the 1993-94 Season.  

2d. Tom Thibodeau aka Thibs #SeeRed...No Derrick Rose and you manage to lead the Bulls to the #5 Seed in the East with One player who can get you off the Bounce in "KRYPTOnate Robinson..."Round of Applause". Coach Thibs gets everything out of his Teams and they are arguably the most sound Defensive Team year in and year out under Thibs.
