The Oakland Athletic are starting where they left off in the 2012 Season and that was a gut-wrenching loss to the eventual AL Champion Detroit Tigers. The Boston Red Sox are playing extremely well as they are getting Top Notch Starting Pitching led by Lester and Buchholz. The Carmines also got a lift this past weekend as David "Big Papi" Ortiz was injected back into the Line Up after starting 2013 on the DL.

The A's are getting hitting from players like Seth Smith, Jed Lowrie, and Cocoa Crisp. They are not getting much from expected Hit Leaders Josh Reddick and Yoenis Cespedes the 2012 Athletic Leaders from the dish. The Good is that they are 12-7 with the big boys out the gate slow.

The A's will throw one of their top two from the bump in Griffin and the Carmines will throw Ace LHP Lester in game three.
