San Antonio, Texas Cole H.S., Baton Rouge and #GeauxTigers, Mouse Town Magic, and now the L.A. Lakers put the Diesel up in the Rafters forever.

After amassing some 28,596 points and 13,099 rebounds and all those numbers with Six Teams Shaquille O'Neal will have his number 34 retired at Staples Center Tonight at halftime as the Lakers host the Mavs.  Shaq now joins the likes of the Late Great George Mikan of the Minneapolis Lakers, and the late great Wilt Chamberlain and of course "Sky Hook" Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (the All-Time Leader in Points Scored in the NBA) as the four greatest Bigs of one of the more prouder and prestigious Franchises in the Logo as well as all of American Sports.

Shaq has four titles under his belt but three of those were from the Lakers Three Peat and the other from the Miami Heat. From the 1996-97 to 2003-04 season Shaq was dominant as a Lakers and had his biggest Numbers with the Purple and Gold. Shaq teamed up with the "Zen Master" Phil Jackson and the Black Mamba (who wore #8 back then) to do damage on the Logo and combined with players like Rick Fox, D-Fish, Big Shot Rob, Mad Dog Madsen (lol), and of course Kobe.

Arguably the most powerful force to ever set foot on an NBA Hardwood O'Neal was now the last stop is Springfield, Mass....and the NBA Hall of Fame.
