The Detroit Tigers like a hot knife through Parkay goes right through the visiting Minnesota Twins and Phil Hughes blanking them 4-0. The Motor City Kitties did it on the "Bump" and at the dish as David Price goes almost complete job 8 2/3 frames on a five-hitter with five strikeouts and no free passes.
The Tigers Offense was supplied by not "Miggy" or V-Mart but Ian Kinsler, Alex Avila, and Yoensi Cespedes. They each collected two hits on the day with the Cuban Cespedes going two-bagger and three-bagger. That three run 2nd frame with Price cruising was enough as Twins Hughes was no match. He goes six allowing eight hits and four runs all earned striking out six.
That three-run 3rd was highlighted by the Long Ball as Martinez goes Solo and Avila goes two-Run Bomb. I think its a three-team race in the AL Central with the Tigers, Royals, and Tribe and this game gives me confirmation as its just 1 of 162.
