The Brooklyn Nets without Nike Basketball's Point God Deron Williams faced the hottest team in the Logo in the Golden State Warriors having won all six of a seven-game Motel Swing that ended in Brooklyn at the Barclays on Hump Day. Surprisingly enough Steph was doing what Steph does but the Nets overcome a slow 1st frame to eke one out and send G.S.W. packing back to Oakland International 6-1 on the trip.
Behind a 32-22 first frame and 34 points and seven helpers from the "Human Torch" Steph Curry the Warriors were in a good spot to end a seven-game Motel Swing through the East at 7-0. No D-Will at the Point and the Nets have had their share of troubles. This is now 2014 and Brooklyn had forgotten all about what happened in 2013...as all that noise stays in 2013!
The Nets follow up the Warriors first frame with a 37-20 frame before intermission as the Nets get 27 points from JJ of Jordan Brand. The Nets moving to 4-0 in 2014 after tonight's Winner's Circle Appearance have the worst 3rd frame PF/PA in the Logo and the Warriors capitalized with a 24-16 frame to lead by one going into the 4th. To the Nets credit they got stops played well in the half Court and guarded the Arc when they needed to to eke out a 102-98 thriller. Joining Curry was D-Lee with 20 points and seven boards. And joining JJ was Andray Blatche with 17 points.
The Warriors fall to 24-14 but left the Bay with heavy bags 18-13 and take that Clips and Suns. The Nets trying to make their move in the Atlantic as Dinosaurs are watching move to 14-21 and undefeated at 4-0 in January.
