The Chicago Blackhawks and New Jersey Nets were in tight one as the Hawks Skill and Speed like on most nights took over in the 3rd and final period. The Devils did what you have to do to the Hawks dump and chase and try to be real physical with them to knock them off their game and that worked for two periods.

The Games was tied after the first as no one made the sirens go off. Then in the 2nd period Hawks Winger Patrick Sharp hits the nets to make it 1-0 and that would be the first of his three goals on the night. The Devs came right back and tied it at 1-1 after two periods. Then the flood gates came open as Sharp, Brandon Saad, and Marian Hossa all light the sirens up as Sharpie #10 lights it up twice in the 3rd for the hat Trick. The Hawks got to Future HOF Marty Broduer as he stopped 17 of 22 hawks shots. Hawks Net minder Antti Raanta stopped 24 of 27 shots as the undrafted Rook Net Minder of the Hawks moves to 11-1-3.

The Hawks didn't get a lot of action to the nets but when they did they made the Devs pay for it. Team Indian Head moves to 29-7-8 and some 66 points and that is good for #1 in Ice Games 2013-14. The Devs fall to 17-17-8 and 42 points as they hang out with the nine other teams in the east with 40-47 points.

The Hawks now get a four of their next five at the Madhouse starting with the Fins of San Jose on Sunday January 5 at 8pm ET.
