The Rockets gave up some 137 points last night in L.A. to the Clips but come right back and handle the Rip City Blazers at the Moda Center aka the Rose Garden. This might be the winning formula for the Rockets as both Dwight and James Harden go big numbers on Blazer Mania for a 116-101 "W".
Behind 33 points and seven boards from James Harden and 29 points and thirteen boards from Dwight Howard the Rockets go into Rip City and get an impressive "W". The Rockets do it by having an Inside/Out Presence as they had to learn from the night before. Shooting nearly 55% from the field coming out of the Motel and close to 85% from the line the Blazers stayed close but just couldn't get the lead.
The Blazers had four starter in double figures including PG Damian Lillard (22 pts 5 assts) and PF "L-Train" LaMarcus Aldridge (21 pts 5 rebs). The Blazers inability to get any boards as they lose the rebounding margin some 47-31 cost hem the game. Wes Matthews (19 pts) and Nicolas Batum (13 pts) were the only the Blazers in double figures as that problem from the 2012-13 season is back. No quality depth for any of the starters and the Blazers have to fix that issue.
The Rockets move to 4-1 as they will host the L.A. Lakers on Thursday. The Blazers falling to 2-2 will get the Kings on Friday Night.
