The Oklahoma City Thunder ended the Spurs 11-game in streak on Wednesday Night as the Thunder gets its usual dosage of @kdTREY and Air Congo Ibaka but it was another Thunder Player that joined that fray. OKC's Third-Year PG Reggie Jackson went O-Zone Layer on the Spurs in this one totaling 23 points out of the bullpen including 10 of 14 from the field. KD led the Thunder with a game-high 24 points and thirteen boards while Ibaka added 17 points and eleven boards.
The Spurs stayed close but could not get over the Hump as that Thunder Bench is much-improved and this was a game featuring the "Best in the West". Spurs PG "TP9" led Spurs Community with 16 points and seven assists as K.L. of the Riverwalk added 14 points and ten boards. Tonight the shots the Spurs usually knockdown didn't fall evident a 7 of 27 from the Arc. The Spurs had good looks but just didn't knock them down. Spurs lost by six shooting under 40% from the field and under 30% from the Arc and that will get you an "L" coming out of the Motel all day long. Both Benches played well as OKC out scored the Spurs Bench just 39-37.
The Thunder can build off of this one as they are re-tooled with new and younger firepower and move to 10-3. The Spurs Win Streak halts at eleven as they fall to 13-2 but expect both of these Teams to be in it to win it come Winning Time and the "Fight for Larry" 2K14.
