The Dallas Mavericks might have elevated expectations on their 2013-14 season as they comeback from being down 101-87 after three. The Mavs get on their horse and maybe the Jerry Jones Cowboys Horse and out score the Rockets and "Dwight of Three Stripes" some 36-19 to beat Clutch City 123-120 as the AA 214 goes Deep Ellum on a hot Summer Night.

The Mavs did it behind Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis' big nights. Dirk goes 35 points and seven boards as Monta goes game-high 37 points and eight helpers and the Rockets could do nothing to stop them. The Mavs shoot 50% from the Arc netting 11 Money Balls as the Rockets made 12 Money Balls. The Mavs also get 13 points apiece from the Matrix 0 and Jose Calderon.

The Rockets were paced by Mr. Howard as he went 33 points and eleven rebounds. James Harden adds 23 points and eight helpers with Chandler Parsons adding 21 points and eleven helpers. The Rockets just couldn't keep their composure enough to close the deal and it cost them coming out of the Motel.

The Mavs move to 8-4 and #2 in the Southwest behind the 10-1 Spurs. The Rockets fall to 8-5 and 3rd in the Southwest.
