Its early and its 1 of 162 but the Boston Red Sox needed this for their Psyche as they chase Yanks Ace LHP C.C. Sabathia after Five and put Yanks Reliever Chamberlain in Triple A with a resounding 8-2 victory. Red Sox Ace Jon Letser didn't have a Post game Show but he struck out Seven Yanks and only allowed Two to cross the Dish in his Five Innings as the Red Sox Offense did the rest. Red Sox CF Jacoby Ellsbury nearly hit for the Cycle as he went 3 for 6 with a Three Bagger and Two Bagger along with scoring a run to lead the Bo Sox Attack at the Dish. The Yankees are already filling the pressure of no Jeter, A-Rod, Tex, or Granderson as they couldn't muscle too much Offense.

Dodgers Ace LHP Clayton Kershaw says so much for struggling in Spring Training as he goes the Distance on the World Champs and scatters 4 hits while striking out seven to lead the Dodgers to 4-0 win. That new-look Boys in Blue Offense didn't have to do much as Kershaw helped his cause in the 8th Inning by going Solo Big Fly....Adios Pelota! Gigantes Ace RHP Matt Cain if you call him that as they have at least three Aces in my estimation went Six strong Innings matching Kershaw only to see the Giants Bullpen implode in the bottom half of the 8th Inning as the Dodgers scored all four runs in that frame. Dodgers hold serve but that Giants Staff will be front and Center again in Game #2 of the Series with LHP Madison Bumgarner going for the Champs.

The Nats made quick work of the Fish 2-0 behind the right-side Version of the "Potomac 2-Pack"...S2...Stephen Strasburg as he went Seven allowing allowing three hits and striking out three. The Nats Young Star Bryce Harper accounted for all the offense as he went 2 for 4 as he went Solo Shots times Two. The Fish will be offensive challenged and if Star RF Giancarlo Stanton doesn't produce on a nightly basis who does for the Fish.

Pale Hose Back Stop Tyler Flowers goes Solo Job in the 5th and Sox Ace LHP Chris Sale goes 7 and 2/3 scattering seven hits, striking out seven, and a free pass on his way to an Opening day W. The Sox have a chance if they can get solid pitching from a hopefully healthy RHP Jake Peavy. Royals Ace RHP James Shields pitched extremely well and made that one mistake in the bottom half of the 5th frame to Flowers and that was it. The Royals Offense was inept at least on this day but they is a different feel for these Royals moving forward. Both Bullpens also rose to the occasion on Opening Day.
