A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report #18....The DIVISION Leaders in NL.....BOYS in BLUE on a 5-Game Skid...AMAZINS' showing life in the CITI....RED LEGS and Dusty on the OHIO lead Central

The National League East , the most competitive Division by far in the Show, has been a surprise and its not that the Fightin' Fish, Braves, and/or the Fightin' Phils are in the middle of the pack but whose in first. The Nats have been playing well enough after all the injuries to hold the lead at the Top of the East. The Amazins' have been somewhat of a surprise and Johan is back....in a major way.

Dusty Baker and the Red Legs are doing it with leaders Phillips and Votto. The good thing about the NL Central if you can get 12-15 games over .500 you will be in a position to win the Central.

The Boys in Blue...the Dodgers have lost Matt Kemp again for an extended period of time and but they can't worry about who is there they have to continue to grind it out. The Dodgers have lost 5 in a row and now they go on the Road where they have been .500 at 11-11.

NL EAST

1. NAT'S 29-21
2. Fightin' FISH 29-23
3. AMAZINS' 29-23
4. BRAVES 28-24
5. Fightin' PHILS 28-25

The East will come down to who has the Best Starting Pitching and Pen. The Nat's are holding steady but with 2.5 games separating the Top from the Bottom means a bad week you could be in last place.

NL CENTRAL

1. RED LEGS 29-22
2. REDBIRDS 27-25
3. BUCCOS 26-25
4. BREW CREW 23-29
5. 'STROS 22-30
6. CUBBIES 18-33

The Central has 3 Teams that can win the division in the Reds, Cards, and Bucs. The Brewers, Astros, and Cubs just don't have enough on the Roster to catch those Top 3. To win the Nl Central you need to be 10 over .500 and you have a realistic shot.

NL WEST

1. BOYS in BLUE 32-20
2. GIGANTES 28-24
3. D-BACKS 23-29
4. ROCKIES 22-29

The Dodgers are the best in the NL when CF Matt Lemp is healthy. Andre Ethier is a legitimate 2 Piece on a Roster full of well-traveled Vets and middle of the Road Prospects. The Giants with their pitching will be in the hunt the only thing is when it gets to late August early September....the absence of Brian Wilson will have an effect on the Giants.
