A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report #25 News & Notes....A-ROD ties GEHRIG...Mid-Summer's Classic SKIPS...WASH (Rangers) and LaRUSSA (Redbirds)...BOMBERS Red Hot

Before it's said and one the Bombers A-Rod will have a lot o numbers and most will say they are inflated by admitted use PED's but I still enjoy MLB Summer Time Drama and MLB Numbers.

With 1 out in the Top half of the 8th inning in Hotlanta on a 3-2 pitch, Ducks loaded on the pond, A-Rod takes a Slide Piece down under and takes a 7-iron over the left field wall to tie the Game at 4-4 and the Bombers go on to Win 6-4.

With that Granny A-Rod ties the late great Lou Gehrig with Most Grand Slams of All-Time with 23 and in 2nd Manny Being Manny Ramirez with 21, and the O's Great Eddie Murray with 19 in 3rd place.

The  Bombers have won 5 in a row and their 10th Win in 12 contests to put them 36-25 the best record on the Junior Circuit. With two more game in Hotlanta the Yanks will try to get the Sweep and stay hot and in front of the surprising O's and Rays.

The 2012 Mid Summer's Classic will be just that as Retired and 2011 Sipper of the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals Tony La Russa will battle AL Skipper and 2011 Fall Classic Runner Up Ron Washington of the Texas Rangers. This will definitely be the last game LaRussa will manage and he will get a somewhat generous Ovation from the Crowd as the Classic this season is held in Royal Stadium.
