It was Mavs and Germany G.O.A.T. Dirk Nowitzki reaches 28,000 career points with 18 points last night. Dirk sitting at 28,004 as we go to press is just 592 points behind SHAQ for #6 on the list. With Dirk having at least another season in front of him to go he could reach 30K points. The #5 player on the list is the late great Wilt Chamberlain at 31,419 points.

Dirk also is the first player with 28K points and 10,000 rebounds and take that Dirk Haters. Dirk will be hard-pressed to catch Wilt but at 28K for a kid who was drafted in the lottery and traded on draft day for the late Michigan Star Robert "Tractor" Traylor who knew the Mavs knew something!
