The Dallas Mavericks were high-flying coming off an undefeated Motel swing that saw them even hang an "L" on the Central leading Chicago Bulls in Chi-City. Well the visiting Phoenix Suns were hearing nothing of it as the 2013-14 All-NBA 3rd Teamer Goran Dragic dba the Dragon would go in on the Mavs and the Mavs back court!

The Suns were all business as they led 40-27 after a blistering 1st frame. That lead would be a dozen at the break at 69-57 as Dragic would have 14 and Gerald Green a dozen. The Mavs were led by again "Mississippi Lightning" Monta Ellis' game-high 18 points at the break.

The Mavs would then cut that lead to seven by the end of three 93-86. Dallas would get as close at 95-89 a minute in the 4th and that would be as close as they would get the rest of the night. The Suns led by Dragic (28 pts 13 asst) and Markeiff Morris (22 pts 10 rebs) would cruise in the 4th to a 118-106 win.

Phoenix shot those magic numbers of 50-50-80 and that would be 56% FG, 50 % 3pt FG, and 88% from the Stripe and that would be your ball game coming out of the motel. Dallas coming off their latest Motel swing just didn't have it on this night falling to 15-6. The Suns move to 12-8 as they simply looked like the fresher team.

Monta Ellis game-high 33 points on just 14 of 22 shots as he has been dynamite for Lead man Carlisle's Bunch the last few weeks.
