The Chicago Blackhawks run their 2014-15 w-l to a sparkling 20-8-1 as they survive a late onslaught from the Boston Bruins scoring and throwing punches for a 3-2 win. Hawks Captain Serious dba Jonathan Toews slammed into the board or was it more of he was just off balance takes a nasty spill head first into the head boards. Toews through various media outlets avoided a more serious and is listed as day to day as he skated a shift initially after the hit before being pulled!
The Hawks started the night with a Klas Dahlbeck and Ben Smith scored in the 1st making it 2-0 Hawks. Over midway through the 2nd the "Bison City Mullet" #88 Patrick Kane scored his Hawks leading 13th goal making it 3-0 Hawks and it looked like the slaughter rule might be on at the new Garden.
The Bruins luckily gets a Reilly Smith goal a minute and change before the end of the 2nd making it 3-1 Hawks with the Spokes picking up a little of Uncle Mo on their side. Bruins made it 3-2 with seven minutes and change left on a Torey Krug goal and that's when the fighting ensued as the boys mixed it up a little bit.
The Hawks survived the Donnybrook and the game winning 3-2 as Hawks Net Minder Scot Darling continues to put check marks in the win column stopping 32 of 34 SOG. Bruins net minder Tuukka Rask of Finland halted 18 of 21 SOG as the good news was for the Spokes was five-star Defenseman Zdeno Chara was back in action vs the Hawks.
