No matter how you look at it for the Philadelphia Eagles where did they go wrong or does wrong start with not having QB Nick Foles? "Excuses" are tools for the incompetent and the Eagles have had their chances in two of the three losses and have not made due.
Behind an above average afternoon from Redskins QB Robert Griffith III throwing for 220 yards on on 16 for 23 and an INT the 'Skins took it right to the rival Eagles and win. The ground game was working behind RB Alfred Morris gaining 83 yards on twenty-one carries and a TD. Former Eagles WR DeSean "Nestea Plunge" Jackson grabbed just for Wilson pig skins for 126 yards as the 'Skins 3rd frame scoring two TD's and moving up 24-14 was big.
To the Eagles credit they fought back in the 4th scoring ten to tie the game up at 24-24. It was the thing that has been haunting the offense ever since QB Mark Sanchez took over and its the turnovers. Yes "Shady" McCoy ran for 88 yards on 22 carries and a TD. Yes TE Zach Ertz caught 15pigs for 115 yards and WR Riley Cooper hauled in two TD's but it was in the end that INT.
"Sanchize" threw for 374 yards on 37 for 50 and two TD's but that costly INT late set-up the game-winning 'Skins FG. For his career he is 80 TD and 79 INT and that Eagles Nation means the law of averages that INT was sent from the Football Gods following suit!
Eagles fall to 9-6 and need the Cowboys to lose on Sunday vs the Colts. The Detroit Lions in Chicago as we go to press getting ready to face the Jimmy Clausen led Bears earn a Playoff Slot with the Eagles loss!
Meanwhile the Redskins can head to the "Stadium Club" D.C. dropping a few hundo's feeling good about themselves after being in the spot losing all them weeks.
