A tired Chicago Blackhawks Squad manufactured one tonight at the Madhouse as they reach back for some extras and beat the well-rested Calgary Flames 2-1. It was Antti Raanta turn in the "Blue paint" for the Indian Head and of course like Scott Darling he did not disappoint.

The Flames started the scoring in the 2nd with a Jiri Hudler snap shot making it 1-0 Flames. The Hawks on a power play gets a snap shot from "Sharpie" Patrick Sharp his 4th of the season tying the game at 1-1.

Then in the 3rd with a nifty pass from "Hammer" Niklas Hjalmarsson to Captain Serious to Brandon Saad on a semi-breakaway with Saad beating Flames net minder Jonas Hiller for a Hawks lead 2-1 and a lead that would stand until the clock hit zeroes. It was Saad's 7th of the season as the Indian Head   coming off a loss last night to the Isles in the nostalgic Nassau Coliseum needed this one.

Raanta stopped 23 op 24 SOG with Hiller stopping 26 of 28 SOG. Hawks move to 21-9-1 with 43 points as the Anaheim Ducks the only team in the west with more points at 47. The Indian Head meets the Wild of Minnesota on Tuesday December 16 at the Madhouse for their next tilt!
