This is just a tip of the old iceberg as the Ohio State Buckeyes clash with the Louisville cardinals as they meet for a some KFC Chicken and the KFC Yum Center in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Both teams enter December undefeated and headlined with heavy junior and senior leadership.
The Buckeyes are ran by Atlanta, GA Native PG Shannon Scott and "Trampoline Man" Sam Thompson of Chicago, Illinois. They also have leading scorer and freshman from all places Louisville, KY native DeAngelo Russell (18.4 ppg) out the gate like he has a a green room to find. Amir Williams rounds out that unit as they will start three seniors in that Buckeyes line up.
The Cards are explosive and running on Rick P. and that make or miss I will be your chaperon-type "D". They are led by pre-season All-American PF Montrezl Harrell (17.4 pts 8.8 rpg) and he has current Nuggets star PF Kenneth the "MANimal" Faried like qualities. That is a high-motor and ultra-athletic.
Harrell though isn't alone with Guards Chris Jones and Terry Dozier along with Chicago, Illinois senior Wayne Blackshear they have pieces to make yet another deep and expected run in March. It will come down to if the Buckeyes can handle the Cards pressure and they must limit Louisville's Splash Plays and live turnovers leading to TD's.
Louisville must fundamentally sound defensively or they will pay as this is a really good shooting Buckeyes squad. That press can't turn into Louisville Park District defense or they might get shredded at the Yum Center.
