The Bronx Bombers come into Tampa at 9-6 leading the AL East by just a 1/2 game over the Blue Birds of Toronto. The Yanks are coming off a two win Double-Dip versus the NL Central bottom-feeding North Siders of Chi City at the frigid Bronx Zoo. Now they get a Rays Bunch that has been decimated (at least their Pitching Staff) by Major Injuries to that Starting Rotation. Tampa comes into the Series at 7-8 just two games off the pace.

The Marquee Match-Up in this Four-Piece is obviously the Yanks C.C. Sabathia vs the Rays David Price. The Rays look like they will miss both Masahiro Tanaka and Michael Pineda. The Rays Starting Rotation is hanging on as Matt Moore (Tommy John Surgery Out for 2014), Alex Cobb (Oblique Strain on 15-day DL), and Jeremy Hellickson (January 2014 Right Elbow Surgery listed as out until at least May 2014) all have been hit with Arm of Upper Body Issues.
At the dish both Teams have been hitting as the Yankees have been getting a Power Surge from OF Carlos Beltran. The Rays hope Will Myers will at least duplicate his 2013 Rookie Campaign and join forces with Evan Longoria, James Loney, and Ben Zorbrist.
